Driver’s Profile: Wyatt Howard
Wyatt Howard is a 28-year-old driver from Price. Howard drives the number 72w car and races in the IMCA Modified and Dirt Late Model Classes. He has been around racing his entire life and has been racing at the level for the last 14 years. His father Harvey Howard started racing dirt cars after an unfortunate motorcycle accident that had left him paralyzed. He raced late models and modifieds throughout the 90s and 2000s, until he retired in 2010. He is now right by his son’s side, as they continue to chase the dream.

Vernal Downtown Construction Projects Continue
Vernal City has announced the continuation of the downtown revitalization with 2 major construction projects underway. The Cobblerock Block improvements at the corner of 100 East and 100 South continue with Phase 2 of the project. This includes the area behind the businesses with the replacement of water and sewer lines, enhanced public spaces, and the addition of public parking, pedestrian walkway, lighting, and landscaping. Phase 3 of that project will include the burying of the powerlines in parts of downtown. The second project is the Vernal Avenue reconstruction from Main Street to 200 South which will start at the end of this month. “Vernal City secured a UDOT grant three years ago for the reconstruction of Vernal Avenue as part of the downtown revitalization plan,” shares the update. “This UDOT administered project includes a complete reconstruction of the road and sidewalk, with the addition of trees, street lights, diagonal parking and mid-block crossings. During the project, one lane of traffic in each direction will be open.” Vernal City appreciates the public’s patience during the projects.

OREM, Utah – Utah Valley head coach Adam Hall has announced the hiring of Joey Lavallee. The 2017 All-American will bring a lot of experience as a four-time NCAA qualifier. "I am so excited to welcome Joey and his wife, Ciena, to UVU Wrestling! Joey brings a wealth of knowledge of the sport and experience as an athlete at both the collegiate and senior levels," said UVU head coach Adam Hall.
