IRVINE, Calif.— UC San Diego had 93 scholar-athletes named to the 2024 Big West Spring All-Academic Team, as announced Wednesday by the conference. UC San Diego had the second most honorees of the Big West institutions with UC Davis just ahead with 94 and CSUN in third with 79 selections. To be eligible, scholar-athletes must carry a minimum grade point average of 3.00, be at least a sophomore academically with one full year at the institution and have competed in 50 percent of the team’s contests (excluding pitchers for baseball and softball).
