On July 13, Southwestern College graduated the next generation of firefighters from the Fire Technology program at the SWC Public Safety Training Center. Lorraine Hutchinson, retired deputy chief of the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department and program director of the Southwestern College Fire Academy led the ceremonies. Skybound’s Energon Universe received the highest accolade in comics at San Diego Comic-Con 2024 tonight, as Daniel Warren Johnson’s work on Transformers received two Eisner Awards. The multitalented pop auteur and his bestselling EU title won both “Best Continuing Series” and “Best Writer/Artist.” What makes the “Best Continuing Series” win especially sweet is that Transformers was the only non-DC Comics title in the running.
