There was a lot of quarterback talk at AAC Media Days this week in Arlington. At some point in fall camp, Tulsa head coach Kevin Wilson will have to decide on a starting QB. The good news is that Wilson has three options, and they all saw the field in 2023.

Frisco, TX – Base hits were tough to come by for the Tulsa Drillers Tuesday night in the opening game of a six-game series in Frisco against the RoughRiders. The American Athletic Conferenced gathered in Arlington, Texas yesterday for the annual media days. Tulsa along with the 13 other members, answered multiple questions from media members on the upcoming season. After being voted to finish 12th by members of the media, Kevin Wilson seemed optimistic about his second season as the head coach of the Golden Hurricane. "Our kids have a lot of confidence," said Wilson. "They are in a better place mentally, there is a better connection we have with our guys. We've got a lot of work to do, we're a work in progress, but we are having fun working and our kids are killing it."

100 Days to Football Time in Oklahoma 2024: #38 Owen Heinecke
Owen Heinecke went to school at Bishop Kelley in Tulsa. The young man starred on both the football team and lacrosse. Heinecke was player of the year for District 5A-3 in 2020 on a Bishop Kelley team that was state runner-up. However, his lacrosse skills were his first path in college; the young man joined Ohio State for his first year in college and played in three games with the lacrosse team. After one season, he walked on with the Sooners football team.
