    One person injured in Sarasota shooting

    TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A person was injured in a shooting in Sarasota on Monday.

    The incident happened near the 1900 block of 23rd Street shortly after 3 p.m., according to the Sarasota police department.

    A person, not identified by police, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

    “This is an isolated incident, and the public is not believed to be in danger,” a Sarasota police news release stated.
