Elevate Quantum Awarded $127 Million to Secure US Leadership in Quantum Technology – CNM a Designated Lead for Training Quantum Technicians
Elevate Quantum, a consortium of organizations based in Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming, announced on Tuesday that it received a Tech Hub Phase 2 Implementation award from the U.S. Department of Commerce, resulting in $127 million in funding. The award is expected to spur more than $2 billion in additional private capital and establish the Mountain West region as a global leader in quantum innovation and quantum economic and workforce development.

AUSTIN, Texas — A Texas 10 Most Wanted sex offender is back in custody following his recent arrest in Wyoming, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS). Authorities arrested Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender Ramiro Manuel Dominguez, 35, on June 27 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Dominguez, who was DPS Featured Fugitive in June 2024, was apprehended after DPS Special Agents from Lubbock coordinated with officers from the Cheyenne Police Department, following a tip received last month. City to Apply for Loans for South Downtown Project
The City of Sheridan will apply for two loans for an infrastructure project located just south of the Sheridan County Courthouse that encompasses south Main Street to the east, west College to the south, west Whitney to the north, and up to Thurmond to the west. The City Council approved two separate resolutions at their business meeting Monday night authorizing the submission of a Drinking Water State Revolving Fund loan application in the amount of $2.4 million and a Clean Water State Revolving Fund loan application in the amount of $2.6 million to fund the Sheridan South Downtown project.
