Jay Sawvel Calls Wyoming’s Rookie Linebacker ‘Chad Muma 2.0′
LAS VEGAS, Nev., -- Undersell and over deliver. So far, that's not a model Jay Sawvel has been following. Wyoming's rookie head coach isn't shy when it comes to promoting his players. Just last week in Las Vegas, Sawvel preached the gospel of Evan Svoboda. He believes in his junior quarterback despite the fact he has just one start under his belt. He likes incoming transfer linebacker Evan Eller, too. Same can be said for guys like TK King, DJ Jones and a whole host of unknowns.

New trail in Boulder a break in 'country's longest-standing bike ban'
Cyclists in Boulder are celebrating a trail eight years in the making — a trail symbolizing a much longer wait. The city recently announced opening North Sky Trail. The singletrack roams 3 1/2 miles off U.S. 36 north of town, flowing through rolling terrain eyed in the late 1800s for a railroad connecting up to Left Hand Canyon and mining camps.
100 years later, the funeral-crashing Johnstown Meteorite celebrates its centennial
John Moore's headstone was smaller than I'd imagined. The red granite stone couldn't have been bigger than the laptop bag hanging from my shoulder when I visited Moore's final resting place in Northern Colorado's Johnstown Cemetery early Friday afternoon. "John Moore Sr.," its unembellished engraving read. "1881-1924." The stone isn't part of a...

Snowmobile registration fees could go up by this time next year
Registering your snowmobile might become more expensive in Wyoming. The hope is this will save the budget of a state trails program. Over the last two months, Wyoming lawmakers on the Travel, Recreation, Wildlife and Cultural Resource interim committee have been hearing from the snowmobiling world. Two main takeaways: Wyoming is world renowned for the sport and is seeing more users every year. But, the upkeep of trails along with inflation is putting the state trails program in the hole – to the tune of about half a million dollars a year.
