Police fatally shoot armed man near a Pennsylvania golf course
CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WHTM) – Police officers fatally shot an armed man near a Butler County golf course on Tuesday. Pennsylvania State Police say around 10:30 a.m. on July 2 Cranberry Township Police were called for a suspicious man who pulled his vehicle over near the entrance to the Cranberry Heights Golf Course.
Local Woman Accused of Stealing Adult Toy, Other Items from Walmart Totaling Nearly $500
CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Police say a local woman allegedly stole several items, including an adult toy, from Walmart in Cranberry totaling nearly $500. According to court records, Franklin-based State Police filed criminal charges against 46-year-old Courtney Maund, of Tionesta, in District Judge Patrick Lowrey’s office on Tuesday, July 2.
Two-Car Crash in Butler Township Sends One to Hospital
One person was transported to the hospital after a crash in Butler Township near Gordon on Friday afternoon. The crash occurred around 2:45pm on Gordon Road in the area of Citizens Cemetery when the driver of a Chevrolet Malibu crossed the double yellow line and into the path of a Ford Focus.
SUSPECT IN FATAL MOTORCYCLE CRASH PLEADS GUILTY IN ARMSTRONG COUNTY COURT
A Pittsburgh man entered guilty pleas in Armstrong County court on Wednesday in connection with a fatal motorcycle crash in 2022 that killed two people from Indiana County. Court documents show Michael Flynn pleaded guilty to two counts of homicide by vehicle, while other charges, including two counts each of accidents involving death or injury and aggravated assault by vehicle, and a single summary traffic count were not prosecuted. Police say that on July 3rd of 2022, Flynn was behind the wheel of an SUV that collided with a motorcycle driven by 58-year-old Anthony Stasko on Route 56 at Balsiger Road in Kiski Township. His wife, Kim, was riding with him at the time. State police filed charges over a year after the accident happened after conducting a lengthy and thorough investigation. Flynn was also arrested a year after the crash when he was involved in a rear-end collision in Allegheny County.

Police find drugs, $57K after arresting accused drug dealer in New Kensington
A New Kensington man police say was dealing drugs, including cocaine, crack cocaine, fentanyl and marijuana, was arrested Wednesday morning. Tarique Taron Godson, 31, was apprehended after city police and officers with the Westmoreland County Drug Task Force carried out a search warrant at a house in the 400 block of Fourth Avenue shortly after 10:30 a.m.
