Clayton City Council honors Officers for saving Baby’s Life
The Clayton City Council recently recognized four Clayton Police Officers for going above and beyond the call of duty in saving a baby’s life on March 5, 2024. Assistant Chief John Grist, Sgt. Andy Beck, Investigator Matt Thomas, and Officer Justin Buchanan received plaques for their valor. Clayton Police Chief Andy Strait said, “The officers did an outstanding job from the beginning of the investigation until the end when the baby was saved and the suspect was arrested. They are heroes in my book and representative of the hard work and dedication that every Clayton Police Officer exhibits daily. It was truly an honor for me to present those awards to them.” After the presentation, everyone in attendance gave the officers a round of applause.
