Michiana residents question tornado warning sirens
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) - Some Michiana residents are wondering if tornado sirens were activated when severe weather hit Michiana overnight. On Tuesday afternoon, St. Joseph County Emergency Management Agency officials Jim Lopez and Al Kirsits were tallying off all of the outdoor tornado sirens in our area. The 911 center monitors tornadoes along with the National Weather Service.
Underground Railroad Days return to Cass County
CASS COUNTY, Mich. (WNDU) - Summer events continued here in Michiana this weekend with the Underground Railroad Days in Vandalia. The event is held annually by the Underground Railroad Society of Cass County. The group’s mission is to research and educate about the Underground Railroad and its legacy here in Michiana.
