Duininck Companies just named a new director of real estate development.

The Willmar-based company, which has offices in the Midwest, including in Watertown, South Dakota, has added to its company with a real estate division.

This family-owned, multi-generational business named Tim Lundgren as director of real estate development for the Duininck Companies, which includes Prinsco; Duininck Golf; Duininck, its heavy civil and commercial divisions in the Midwest and Southern U.S.; Duininck Concrete; Hart Ranch Golf Club, and Hart Ranch Development Company.

Lundgren will provide real estate development and related real estate support to the portfolio companies, with most of his effort focused on new development. Lundgren has over 25 years in the construction industry, completing projects in 23 states and Canada, over 5,700,000 square feet of new class A buildings, and over $1.27 billion of construction.

In the wake of the pandemic, Lundgren departed from Life Time Fitness as vice president of construction and began a construction services company while developing several projects of his own.

“Tim established Lundgren Construction as a bridge to executing independent development work, which is where our connection with him began through his expertise managing the construction of the Duininck Golf corporate office and shop in Delano, Minnesota, and Prinsco’s new Georgia facility,” said Trevor Duininck, CEO of Duininck Companies. “Our experience with Tim supporting our facility construction needs built our confidence in his capability and cultural fit."

"Having served as contractor for the past three years, I've witnessed firsthand how core values are not just words on paper, but principles actively practiced," Lungren said. "It's this culture of integrity and dedication that excites me to take on this new role and build the Real Estate Development team."

Watertown, the fifth largest city in South Dakota, is one of the Duininck service areas.  The city has a regional office, material sources, an asphalt plant and dedicated equipment and crews.

The original Duininck business was founded by three Duininck brothers in 1926 with roots in highway construction. This third-generation company is headquartered in Willmar, Minnesota, with 1,000 employees in locations throughout the United States, concentrated heavily in the Midwest
