Schuylerville School District Names New Superintendentv
SCHUYLERVILLE — The Schuylerville Central School District Board of Education has announced that Dr. Ryan Sherman will serve as its superintendent for the next five years. Dr. Sherman was previously the superintendent of the district from 2009 to 2021. He was also the superintendent of schools for the Argyle Central School District from 2004 to 2009. In total, Dr. Sherman’s superintendent experience totals 18 years.
Troy youth after school center, the Ark, faces closure after losing state funding
Troy — An after school education center in Troy could be forced to close as soon as this fall, saying their State Grant funding will not be renewed. The Ark, located in North Central Troy, serves 55 families right now, and for the last 10 years, 95 percent of its budget has come from State Grant money. Now, they're being told the funding will stop.
Capital Region BOCES students return after strong showing at national skills competition
ATLANTA (WRGB) — Two students from upstate New York showcased their skills in barbering and network technology over the weekend at the SkillsUSA national competition.
