On Sunday, July 14, the Waverly Fire Department responded to nearly a dozen calls of service shortly after the storm around 5 p.m., ranging from trees over the road, fire alarms, and cordoning several streets in Waverly due to electrical lines down. Kentucky doctor sentenced to prison for illegally prescribing drugs to undercover patients
PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WCHS) — A Pikeville, Kentucky, doctor was sentenced to prison Monday for illegally prescribing amphetamines to undercover patients, federal prosecutors said. Jason Stamper, 52, was sentenced to 32 months in prison after pleading guilty in a 2022 investigation where he prescribed amphetamines to multiple patients without a legitimate medical purpose, a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Kentucky said.
