Geisha A Go Go Closing After 17 Years

After serving the community of Old Town Scottsdale for more than 17 years, the owners of Geisha A Go Go are getting ready to close their doors at 7150 E 6th Ave.

The beloved karaoke and happy hour restaurant at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Scottsdale Road is preparing to close its doors for good on Sunday, June 16 , citing the end of their lease as the reason for closing, according to an announcement on social media. While this has disappointed many fans of the restaurant, the owners of Geisha A Go Go have hinted at a possible relocation, saying on social media that they hope to return soon. While it’s unclear where or when the restaurant hopes to relocate, it’s a glimmer of hope.

“We want to thank everyone that has made Geisha a 17-year success serving sushi and singing karaoke in Old Town Scottsdale!!” according to the company’s announcement on Facebook. “To all our staff, past and present, that has been the family of Geisha, we can not thank you enough for being part of the history here! The Sun is setting on this girl as the property is being developed in the near future, and our lease draws to an end… please come enjoy our last weekend of service as we close our doors for good on Sunday, June 16. Sushi is in our soul, and we will return soon!! Arigato!!”

During its 17-year run in Old Town Scottsdale, Geisha A Go Go has made a name for itself through its amazing happy hour and karaoke. The former ran daily from 3 pm to 7 pm, where appetizers, specialty drinks, wine, and more were half-priced. During this time, the restaurant also offers $3 hot sakes, $2.50 off Kiring Bombers, and $2 off draft beer. Once customers have enjoyed the inexpensive food and drinks, they’re ready to sing their hearts out with karaoke. Hopefully, the restaurant will continue to offer fantastic prices and entertainment options at the new location.
