An Arizona family reunion turned tragic when 13 people — including three children who were hospitalized — had to be rescued from a hiking trail amid sweltering heat, according to a post on the Scottsdale Fire Department’s Facebook page.

The group of hikers, in town for a family reunion, hit the Gateway Loop Trail in Scottsdale, Arizona, at 7:30 a.m. on Friday.
