Maryann McAllen is a proven leader and resident champion. I strongly endorse her to replace me on council.

Without a dime of developer funding, Ms. McAllen easily earned votes to advance into the November election. Her actions speak volumes on her commitment to Scottsdale. She has lived here 59 years and volunteers her time to keep it a vibrant city to live, work and play.

She is a former chair of the Parks and Recreation Commission. During this time, she worked to keep our parks open during peak use, COVID 2020. She assisted in the development of the Parks Master Plan. Additionally, she helped establish motorized vehicle regulations while on the Parks and Trails subcommittee of the Transportation Commission.

She is a strong advocate for park rangers. She knows what it takes to keep our open space a safe and welcoming environment. There are numerous other civic organizations she enriched with her participation including Scottsdale Leadership Class 12, Phoenix Children’s Hospital and SUSD, among others.

Ms. McAllen’s goals for council are simple and straightforward: protect our neighborhoods, the building blocks of a thriving city; hold short-term rentals accountable for bad behavior and limit their numbers; support public safety by providing police and fire departments with staffing and tools needed to perform their duties; preserve open space by refurbishing and maintaining aging parks; sustain the McDowell Sonoran Preserve.  She is a proven community champion that deserves your vote!
