    Scranton man sentenced after road rage incident

    EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — A Scranton man has been sentenced for possessing a firearm during a road rage incident after previously being convicted of a crime punishable by more than one year in prison.

    The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that 28-year-old Victorious Minter from Scranton was sentenced to 100 months in prison for a firearm offense.

    According to U.S. Attorney Gerard M. Karam on January 5 2022 Minter had a loaded Glock 22 .40 caliber semi-automatic pistol, loaded with 24 rounds in an extended magazine. He possessed the gun after previously being convicted of a crime that was punishable by more than one year in
    prison, officials note.

    U.S. Attorney Karam said during the trial evidence showed Minter waving a gun at another driver on North Scranton Expressway during a road rage incident .

    The release states after another driver called 911 officers conducted a traffic stop on Minter and during the stop discovered a loaded pistol in the car with a two-year child in the backseat.

    United States District Court Judge Robert D. Mariani sentenced Minter to 100 months in prison.
