Two Oregon beaches and one hotel were voted among the most pet-friendly in USA Today's 10Best contest.

Seaside's beach was voted No. 2 and Cannon Beach was voted No. 5 for Best Dog-Friendly Beach.

The Headlands Coastal Lodge & Spa in Pacific City was voted No. 9 for Best Pet-Friendly Hotel.

The contest was part of USA TODAY 10Best, which provides users with original, unbiased and experiential travel coverage of top attractions, things to see and do and restaurants for top destinations in the United States and around the world.

Nominees are submitted by a panel of experts, and editors narrow the field to select the final set of nominees for the Readers’ Choice Awards. Readers were able to vote once per day.

Seaside is located on the north Oregon Coast. Dogs are welcome on all parts of the beach. In June, the Oregon Humane Society hosted "Corgi Beach Takeover," which was a day full of costume contests and races.

Cannon Beach is located just south of Seaside. Dogs are welcome everywhere and may be unleashed as long as they are well-behaved. In October, Cannon Beach hosts "Dog Show on the Beach," an annual event featuring prizes for dogs in over 20 categories that benefit the Clatsop County Animal Shelter.

The Headlands Coastal Lodge & Spa is located along Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area in Pacific City on the central Oregon Coast. Dogs are greeted with special amenities including plush bedding, water bowls and locally made treats. There is a one dog fee for $41 per day and a two dog fee for $80 per day.
