I mentioned it when picking up my food and the employee gave an exasperated “yeeeeah,” which suggests selling alcohol came with issues and they stopped doing it. I have been in a few times since and they haven’t had it.”

Dr. Bernice Johnson Reagon, a civil rights activist and founding member of several musical groups including the Freedom Singers in 1962, has passed away at the age of 81. Toshi Reagon, who is her daugther, posted an announcement on social media detailing the life of her mother, who died on Tuesday.
New bill would help keep people with their pets in D.C.’s shelter system
A proposed bill that would help people with pets experiencing homelessness access D.C.’s shelter system is making its way through the D.C. Council, with a public hearing likely to take place this fall. The Pets in Housing Act, introduced by At-large D.C. Council member Robert White, will also help D.C. pet owners who struggle to find housing due to breed-specific fees or restrictions.
