BALTIMORE -- The Maryland Natural Resources Police (NRP) is teaming up with Special Olympics Maryland (SOMD) to teach their athletes what to do if they're ever in an active assailant or shooter situation. Maryland State trooper rescues dog left in hot car on I-495
COLLEGE PARK, Md. - A Maryland State trooper is being hailed after rescuing a dog from a hot car on the side of I-495 Tuesday. According to the Maryland State Police, Trooper Shane McGregor assisted the College Park barrack with a reported dog left in a hot car on the shoulder of I-495 near the Baltimore-Washington Parkway.

Longtime broadcaster Katy Daley, who spent time at WMZQ Washington, DC (98.7) during the 1980s, enters the Bluegrass Hall of Fame at the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Bluegrass Music Awards ceremony on Sept. 26 in Raleigh, NC. Research Cessna 402 Crashes In Maryland River
A twin-engine Cessna 402 crashed in the Tred Avon River about 4.5 miles south of Easton Airport (ESN) in Maryland yesterday morning, killing the pilot. Robert Merlini, 56, reported loss of engine power after taking off from Tipton Airport about 9:00 a.m., en route to Easton Airport to pick up technicians for an air-sampling flight. The airplane was found submerged in eight feet of water.
