Wendy N. Cisneros, 22, of SeaTac faces multiple charges including vehicular homicide and vehicular assault after a fatal crash in SeaTac on June 21, 2024.

According to the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Cisneros was driving under the influence of marijuana when she ran a red light and struck another vehicle, which resulted in the tragic death of 19-year-old Jonathan Kronsburg.

As we previously reported, the crash occurred at approximately 4 p.m. at the intersection of South 200th Street and 32nd Avenue South in SeaTac (photo & map below). Cisneros’ vehicle collided with a Chevrolet Malibu, causing it to roll over and come to rest on its roof. Kronsburg, the driver of the Malibu, sustained critical injuries and was later pronounced dead at Harborview Medical Center on June 23, 2024. His passengers, 16-year-old Kenya Kronsburg and 26-year-old Kennaya McCoy Adams, suffered severe injuries. Cisneros’ passenger, Marlene Cisneros-Sanchez, was also seriously injured.

Investigators reported that Cisneros admitted to smoking marijuana earlier in the day. Evidence at the scene and statements from Cisneros led police to believe she was impaired at the time of the crash. She exhibited signs of drug impairment during field sobriety tests, according to the police report.

Cisneros has a history of traffic violations, including a pending DUI charge from October 2023. She is being held on $750,000 bail and faces additional conditions of release if she posts bail, including electronic home detention and a prohibition on drug and marijuana use.

The case will proceed to the King County Superior Court, where Cisneros will face charges of vehicular homicide, three counts of vehicular assault, and reckless driving.

The King County Prosecuting Attorney, Leesa Manion, emphasized the seriousness of the charges, noting the grave impact of impaired driving on public safety.

The investigation is ongoing, with toxicology results pending to determine the exact level of impairment.

Defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.
