Seattle Kraken forward Oliver Bjorkstrand and prospect Oscar Fisker Molgaard have helped Denmark qualify for the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Bjorkstrand suffered an injury that kept him out of all three qualification games, but Denmark still beat Norway in a winner-goes-through game. Fisker Molgaard failed to register a point in any of the three games, but the experience he gained was invaluable.

General manager Ron Francis discussed Bjorkstrand's injury and reassured Kraken fans that it wasn't serious and that he would likely be ready for the start of training camp.

Former Kraken Alexander True was also part of this Denmark team that will travel to Italy in 2026. In the three games, he recorded one assist. The 27-year-old played eight career games with the Kraken but played a key role in the Coachella Valley Firebirds' run to the Calder Cup finals.

Latvia beat France which means former Kraken Pierre-Edouard Bellemare and France have been eliminated but can qualify if Russia is banned. Due to Bellemare's age, this looked to be his last attempt at qualifying for the Olympics.
