According to Tomas Prokop, Seattle Kraken UFA Tomas Tatar could play in Czechia next season with HC Dynamo Pardubice.

The Kraken acquired Tatar from the Colorado Avalanche on Dec. 16, 2023, in exchange for a 2024 fifth-round pick. Tatar had struggled with the Avalanche scoring just one goal and nine points in 27 games. Playing alongside skilled players like Nathan Mackinnon, Mikko Rantanen, Cale Makar, Valeri Nichushkin and Artturi Lehkonen, his poor results were quite surprising.

After the Kraken acquired him, the 33-year-old scored eight goals and 15 points in 43 games. Once a 50 to 60-point producer, the skilled Slovakian had lost a step or two in his game.

Despite his struggles during the 2023-24 season, Tatar is still garnering interest from teams around the NHL.

Tatar was a good leader among the Kraken group. With over 50 games of NHL playoff experience, he filled a leadership role for the younger Kraken players.

"Yes, I called the management of Pardubice, but I'm not dealing with anything in Europe at the moment, I'm waiting for the NHL market to open," the thirty-three-year-old forward told Šport daily.

If the 2009-second round pick does sign a contract in Europe, he will be leaving knowing he had a successful NHL career. 853 games played, 220 goals, 259 assists and 479 points is an outstanding career.

Tatar is one of the three UFAs the Kraken have heading into free agency on July 1st.
