Kraken Handout Trio Of Two-Way Contracts

The Seattle Kraken handed out two-way contracts to F Max McCormick, G Ales Stezka and F Luke Henman.

McCormick, the Coachella Valley Firebirds captain will be with the club for another year after inking a new deal. His NHL contract will be worth $775,000 and his AHL contract will see him earn $470,000.

In 68 games, the 32-year-old scored 32 goals and 60 points, which was good enough for first on the team in goals and second in points.

The Czech goaltender will earn $775,000 next year on his NHL contract and $300,000 in the AHL.

The 27-year-old played in 27 games last year with the Firebirds, recording a .914SV% and a 2.48GAA. Stezka didn't feature in any playoff games for the Firebirds but with Chris Driedger likely exiting, Stezka will have a larger role with the team in the 2024-25 season.

Henman is 24 years old and was the Kraken's first-ever player. This year he played in 45 games with the Firebirds scoring seven goals and 14 points. A former 2018 fourth-round pick has yet to make his NHL debut and if he does play with the Kraken he'll make $775,000. With the Firebirds he'll earn $75,000.

The Firebirds will be retaining three players who played important roles in the success of a team that went to the Calder Cup Finals in back-to-back years.
