The most senior member of the Seattle Seahawks going into the 2024 season is wide receiver Tyler Lockett. In the absence of franchise legends like Bobby Wagner , Lockett is now the guy who's been with the team the longest and therefore holds a special place in the hearts of the fanbase.

Lockett isn't just a sentimental fan favorite, though. He can still ball, too. Just watch this remarkable touchdown catch he made at training camp practice earlier this week in 11-on-11 drills despite having cornerback Tre Brown draped all over him in coverage.

Of course in a live game we would probably be subjected to a 20-minute review before the officials decided that this wasn't actually a catch because Lockett forgot to perform a handstand and sing the national anthem during the process of the catch. As far as practice is concerned though, this is definitely a touchdown.

Lockett is coming off a bit of a down 2023 season. While he still managed to post nearly 900 yards and five touchdowns, his catch rate (64.8%) was his lowest since the 2017 campaign. Officially he was credited with five drops, which was uncharacteristically high.

Whether it was his age (he's now 31 years old) or the downturn in production, Lockett agreed to a restructured contract this offseason to stay with the team, which amounted to a pretty significant paycut. Lockett is now a strong candidate to get cut or traded next year, so Seattle fans should enjoy watching number 16 while they still can.
