DK Metcalf had Devon Witherspoon on skates in these 1-on-1s at Seahawks camp

The Seattle Seahawks held their annual training camp mock game on Saturday night at Lumen Field. The game itself wasn't too interesting with starting quarterback Geno Smith sidelined by his knee/hip injury. However, before the game began, players went through some drills, including some very interesting one-on-ones between the loaded Seattle wide receiver corps and their strong and deep cornerback unit. So, how did those go? Well, have a look for yourself.

Here are a couple of clips of star wide receiver DK Metcalf making Pro Bowl cornerback Devon Witherspoon look like a hopeless rookie bust in coverage twice during those individual drills.

To be completely fair to Witherspoon, he's only played 14 games at this level and Metcalf is going to do that to a lot of defenders, even some of the game's best. While he was still in the division Metcalf made Jalen Ramsey look like an absolute child twice a year and he's one of the best cover corners in the NFL. We also shouldn't look too much into any one or two reps, whether it's in practice or a playoff game. Witherspoon is going to be more than just fine.

As for Metcalf, now that he has a far-more disciplined oriented head coach in Mike Macdonald and a much-more creative offensive coordinator in Ryan Grubb the hope is that Metcalf's game will reach new, previously unseen heights. Geno Smith for one is certain that DK hasn't hit his ceiling yet.

If Metcalf is going to get there one thing he'll have to improve on is his efficiency on those deep shot passes that were such an important staple in Grubb's aggressive offensive scheme the last two seasons at Washington.
