DK Metcalf's Helmet-Swinging Incident Goes Viral After Practice Fight

New head coach Mike Macdonald had to remove some players from practice Wednesday after multiple scuffles broke out at Seattle Seahawks training camp. In one, wide receiver DK Metcalf ripped off a teammate's helmet and threw it at him.

After some post-play arguing and shoving, Metcalf got into a scrum with teammate Tre Brown. Metcalf ripped off Brown's helmet and swung it, which hit K'Von Wallace, who was trying to defuse the situation.

Seahawks reporter Michael-Shawn Dugar got some clarity from Macdonald after practice.

"Definitely don’t want people fighting out here, especially against our own teammates. ... DK gave a great message at the end of practice, just kind of putting everything in perspective. The guys finished it out the right way." Macdonald said.

Practice fights have been a very popular trend this week in training camps across the NFL.

The Seahawks will need to take whatever lessons they can from this and move on ahead of their preseason debut against the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday night.
