Sedalia Schools are expanding way to expand their world champion robotics program to the elementary and middle school levels.

At last week’s regular meeting, Sedalia’s Board of Education approved a motion to allocate over $54,000 toward expanding Team SCREAM to the district’s younger students. Superintendent Dr Todd Fraley says Sedalia took an unusual approach to establishing their program.

Most of the budgeted cost will go toward stipends for sponsors. Fraley says the goal is to have a sponsor at each of the district’s five elementary schools, the middle school and junior high.
