Bicyclist hit by undercover police vehicle in east central Fresno
An investigation is underway after a bicyclist was hit by an undercover officer's vehicle in east central Fresno on Tuesday.It happened around 5pm in the area of Chestnut and McKinley.Fresno police say the bike-rider is believed to have been at fault in the collision.He was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.Investigators are still working to piece together what happened leading up to the accident.
19-year-old suspect in Hanford homicide injured in shooting near Lemoore
It's now been one week since 23-year-old Cruz Avalos was shot and killed in his car at 10th Avenue and Lacey Boulevard in Hanford.Police have identified 19-year-old Roman Perdue as the suspect in that deadly drive-by.Now, the Kings County Sheriff's Office confirms Perdue was also the victim of a shooting hours later at the Santa Rosa Rancheria.The person who pulled the trigger in that case is still on the loose.Authorities say Perdue was driving when he was shot at multiple times.He was struck on the cheek as seen in his mugshot.A 16-year-old boy and an underage girl were both in...

Authorities warn of political violence as Central CA officials work to protect your vote

City of Fresno changes watering schedule as temperatures drop
The seasons are changing, the days are getting cooler and the first hints of rain are starting to sneak into the forecast in the Valley.Because of that, the City of Fresno is changing its outdoor watering schedule.Starting on November 1, residents will only be able to water one day per week.Residents with addresses ending in odd numbers can water on Saturdays.Those with even numbers can water on Sundays.Nobody should water on weekdays or between 10 am or 6 pm.
Fresno Police sergeant released from hospital after being shot
The Fresno Police sergeant who was shot in his patrol car has been released from the hospital.The department says the 21-year veteran is recovering at home.RELATED: Suspect in shooting of Fresno police officer and homicide identifiedOn Saturday night, the sergeant was investigating a ShotSpotter call and homicide in southeast Fresno when authorities say 40-year-old Andy Morales shot the sergeant several times.Morales was killed in a gun battle with the sergeant and two other officers.Police say they later discovered Morales used the same gun to kill a longtime friend earlier that night.The department thanked the community for the support of both the sergeant and the department as a whole.
New horror movie 'Drive Back' filmed on roads in Central California

Suspect arrested for intentionally hitting man with car in Visalia, police say
A man is in custody after police say he ran into a man with his car in Tulare County.It happened just after 6 pm Tuesday in the Lowe's parking lot on Mooney in Visalia.Police arrived to find a 51-year-old man who they said had been intentionally struck by a car in the parking lot.They say the suspect, 49-year-old Jeremy Miles, abandoned his vehicle and ran away, but officers quickly arrested him nearby.The victim was transported to Kaweah Health and is expected to be okay.Miles was booked into the Tulare County Jail for assault with a deadly weapon.His bail is set at $50,000.
