Fire in chip pile at Seneca Pole Mill burns 4 acres
SENECA – Multiple agencies responded to a fire at the Seneca Pole Mill on Wednesday afternoon. Dispatch logs indicate that on June 26th at about 2:18 p.m., the Seneca Fire Department, the John Day Fire Department, and Oregon Department of Forestry crews were dispatched to the fire that started in a chip pile. The blaze grew to four acres in size. Containment information has not yet been listed. At about 9:22 p.m. Wednesday night, another call came into dispatch regarding flames at the location.
