    I-29 lane closure was caused by a pursuit, Woodbury County Sheriff’s Office says

    SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — UPDATE (9:15 a.m.) According to the Woodbury County Sheriff’s Office, the lane closure was caused by a pursuit.

    The Woodbury County Sheriff’s Office told KCAU 9 that the temporary lane closure had been caused by a pursuit that began near Sloan.

    No other details were given at this time.

    UPDATE (9:00 a.m.): After causing a few delays this morning, the right lane of northbound I-29 has been reopened, according to the Iowa 511.

    No specific details on what caused the lane closure have been released at this time, but the 511 did cite the closure as being caused by the presence of emergency vehicles.

    According to the Iowa 511 map , there is a delay on Interstate 29 near Sergeant Bluff due to the right lane being blocked by emergency vehicles.
