Allegheny County man accused of shooting, killing German Shepherd
PORT VUE, Pa. (KDKA) — A man is facing charges after allegedly shooting and killing a woman's German Shepard in Port Vue, Allegheny County. John Lee Mack Jr., 27, is facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault and animal cruelty, in connection with the July 20 incident.Videos show Mack hitting Donna Hitchings after the two exchange words. Her German Shepard, Lugar, is seen defending her before being shot to death.What sparked the altercation among neighbors? According to court documents, it was music.Hitchings told police that Mack's car radio was too loud, so she came out of her home and asked him to turn it down. She said he exited the vehicle and confronted her.Brittany Iseley said that's not what happened."He was in front of his house in his car listening to a podcast about a zombie apocalypse and it was so loud for her liking," Iseley said. "That's where the problem started. The next day, if I'm not mistaken, is when the brother confronted him."A couple of people on the street said Lugar was Hitchings' service animal. They said she suffers from seizures.
1 killed, 2 injured after stabbing in Pa.: police
One person was killed and two other people were injured following a stabbing in Allegheny County on Thursday. Police said they found a man with multiple stab wounds on the porch of a house along Worthington Street in Versailles at about 8 p.m., according to WPXI and WTAE. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No timetable for return of Steelers QB Russell Wilson
Russell Wilson’s first training camp with the Pittsburgh Steelers has not started off on a high note. When speaking with reporters at the close of practice, Wilson could offer no timetable for his return. Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Brian Batko reported that Wilson wanted to be back today, but Mike Tomlin is being patient with the injury. There are 14 more practices left with two weeks before the first preseason game on August 9. It was Tomlin’s decision to sit Wilson out after the quarterback awoke with calf tightness on Thursday. The injury certainly doesn’t bode well for Wilson as he attempts to learn a new offensive system for the umpteenth time in his 13-year career. Arrest warrants issued for three teenagers in connection with Industry Borough triple stabbing
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police in Beaver County are looking for three teens wanted in connection with a triple stabbing that took place earlier this week in Industry Borough. PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Former President Donald Trump says he is returning to Butler County for a rally after he survived an assassination attempt earlier this month. In a post on the social media platform Truth Social, Trump said on Friday that he is coming back to Butler County for a rally to honor Corey Comperatore, who was shot and killed during his July 13 rally in Butler Township on the Butler Farm Show grounds, and the two men who were injured. Trump did not say the date or location of the rally, only stating, "Stay tuned for details." The July 13 gunman, identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, killed Comperatore and injured David Dutch and James Copenhaver when he opened fire from a roof near the rally. A bullet grazed Trump's ear. A CBS News analysis found that the gunman fired eight rounds in under six seconds before he was shot and killed by a United States Secret Service sniper. On Thursday, Trump announced a July 31 rally in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. It will be his first time back in Pennsylvania after the attempted assassination.
