CENTREVILLE — A Severn man is facing multiple charges in Queen Anne's County following an incident on the Bay Bridge in early June. According to Maryland Transportation Authority Police the driver of a black Jeep, identified as Melvin Clark, age 41, fired multiple shots toward a silver Mitsubishi while driving recklessly across the westbound span of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.

Reports show the driver then exited the Jeep and pointed a gun at the driver of the Mitsubishi.

In a July 18 hearing, Judge Jennifer Alexander ordered Clark to be held without bond pending trial. In addition to multiple traffic violations, Clark is charged with assault in the first degree, reckless endangerment and the use of a firearm in a felony crime.
