Possible tornado, flooding in overnight severe weather for SE Nebraska
BEATRICE – Severe storm winds possibly from a tornado ripped the roof off a farm building and did extensive tree damage overnight, about five miles north of Martell. That was one of the spotter reports to the National Weather Service, as tornado warnings were issued for parts of Lancaster, Saline and Seward Counties…..including at one point, the City of Lincoln.

Highway 6 construction expected to be completed in October
Even after heavy rain, the construction on Highway 6 through Milford is still expected to be completed by October, according to maintenance superintendent Gary Teselle. The construction spans Highway 6 from Welch Park Road to Second Street. Teselle said construction started in May of this year and should be completed by October.
