One taken to hospital after Lincoln dryer fire
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A small fire in northwest Lincoln on Tuesday night sent one person to the hospital. It happened about 9:30 p.m. at the Fairways at Lincoln Apartments near Seventh Street and Fletcher Avenue. The fire was contained to a dryer, according to Lincoln Fire & Rescue.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Carpetland (Lincoln East) defeated Pinnacle Bank (Lincoln Southwest) twice on Tuesday to claim the Area 5 championship. In the first game, the Rugs were down to their final strike, but a pair of clutch hits in the 7th inning sparked a 7-6 win. In the winner-takes-all championship, Carpetland broke open a tight game by scoring 8 unanswered runs in the sixth inning.
