The West Indian American Association of Greater Bridgeport, Inc. will hold its 16th Annual Caribbean Jerk Festival on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Seaside Park Bandshell in Bridgeport, CT from 12 to 8 p.m. It is a free family-friendly event including face painting, touch-a-truck and bounce house for children. CHESHIRE, Conn. — Bill Covitz has owned “Ice Matters” for 25 years, but during summer heat waves, people become especially curious about his ice capades. “Ice Matters is a sculpture company, and we do ice sculptures for weddings and corporate events and holiday parties,” said Covitz, who works out of a 17' by 17' freezer/studio that’s on his residential property in Cheshire.
