Twin Cedars Baseball Opens Distrcit Play Against Seymour
The Twin Cedars Baseball Squad will embark on the class 1A district tournament tonight as the Sabers will host Seymour in first round action. The two teams have played twice this season being in the Bluegrass Conference with Twin Cedars taking both contests by a combined 26-2. Coach Mateo Varese is not taking the Warriors lightly because he knows the district is a different beast than the regular season. The Sabers will host a double header of baseball. They are the nightcap as Melcher-Dallas and North Mahaska will play first at around 5:00 with the two winners meeting on Tuesday.
