Steed, who was reportedly shot during the altercation, is accused of firing multiple rounds at the location and is wanted for aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.
Sumner County Sheriff's Office announces death of Sheriff Roy 'Sonny' Weatherford
SUMNER COUNTY, Tenn. — The Sumner County Sheriff's Office said Friday on social media that its sheriff, Roy "Sonny" Weatherford, has died. The Sevier County Sheriff, Michael Hodges, said Friday that Weatherford was in the Sevierville area for a sheriff's conference. He also said he could not provide specific information, but said he was taken to the hospital on Thursday.

Powell man dies and others are hurt in Norris Lake boat crash
A 51-year-old man from Powell died in a Norris Like boating crash where six people were hurt. Ralph Miller died July 31 from his injuries from the July 26 crash. At about 10 p.m. that night, the boat Miller was driving hit exposed rock in the Cove Creek area, according to a Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency press release. Two people were airlifted to the University of Tennessee Medical Center. This is the 14th boating death this year in Tennessee.
