Sheriff's deputy injured as Cortland man arrested for resisting officer during domestic dispute
A DeKalb County Sheriff's deputy was injured while attempting to place a suspect in custody Saturday night. Deputies were able to take 21-year-old Antonio Pringle of Cortland into custody following a domestic disturbance at an apartment complex in the 1300 block of N Annie Glidden Road in DeKalb at approximately 8:10.
DeKalb man charged after allegedly threatening to kill Rep. Keicher
DEKALB, Ill. (WIFR) - A judge rules to keep a DeKalb man in jail after he reportedly threatened to assassinate Republican State Rep. Jeff Keicher. Court records show Forrest Brandon, 58, faces a criminal felony charge for threatening the life of a public official. Brandon was arrested Friday, July 19.
Steward man killed in crash on Route 251
MENDOTA – A 47-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle accident on Route 251 north of Mendota on July 14. David T. Gorman of Steward was southbound on Route 251 north of Mendota when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. He was transported to OSF Saint Paul Medical Center where he was pronounced dead by the LaSalle County coroner.
