Kayla Burton joins NBC Sports Boston
“I’m back home covering the sports city of champions.”. NBC Sports Boston has added a familiar name to its roster of on-air personalities. The network announced Tuesday that it has hired Kayla Burton as a multiplatform host and reporter. She is the daughter of longtime Ch. 4 sports anchor Steve Burton and the granddaughter of the late Ron Burton, the first player ever drafted by the Patriots.
Glenside Gaelic takes home pair of titles from Continental Youth Championships
Glenside Gaelic’s U10 football (pictured below) and hurling (pictured above) teams were crowned champions at the Continental Youth Championships in Canton, Massachusetts over the weekend. Locals made their mark in the state and beyond this spring in high school girls outdoor track. Lily MacDonald of Norwell (triple jump) and Maya Ashu of Stoughton (javelin) produced the area's top finishes at the New England championships with each placing second. Carver's Carly Peterson tied for 9th in the high jump at New Englands, Oliver Ames' Lavender Kozaka was 13th in the long jump and 16th in the 100 meters, and OA's 4x800m relay finished 8th.
