Flora Fire Now 75-Percent Contained While a Suspect has Been Arrested for the Blaze
A Redding-area man has been arrested in connection with Wednesday’s Flora Fire outside Healdsburg and Windsor. Cal Fire the fire started after he drove his car 4 miles without a right front tire. 44-year-old Justin Roy Jones of Anderson started the fire on Chalk Hill Road east of Healdsburg. The friction caused sparks that ignited three separate fires that eventually cpmbined into the Flora Fire burning about 36 acres. It is 75-percent contained. Jones was booked into the Sonoma County Jail around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Jones is one of several arrests related to wildfires in what’s become a dangerous fire year.
