Visitors can bike around the island, take in the winding roads and the stunning scenery. You can also hike up to Mohegan Bluffs, where the views make it worth every step. But what many cherish most are the quieter moments on the beach, where time slows down, and you can just simply be.
2. The Berkshires, Massachusetts: A Blend of Nature and Art The Berkshires are filled with a mix of natural beauty and a bit of culture. Nestled in the rolling hills of western Massachusetts, this area has a way of grounding you. Many who head to the area love its hiking trails that lead to scenic overlooks, the calmness of its lakes, and the explosion of colors during autumn. But what makes the Berkshires stand out is its artistic soul. Places like the Norman Rockwell Museum and the performances at Tanglewood give the area a creative energy that feeds the spirit.

Over time, I’ve learned that travel is about more than just the destinations. It’s about the unexpected moments—the detours, the surprises, the stories that unfold when you least expect them. Some of my favorite travel memories are the ones that weren’t on the itinerary, the ones that just happened. So, while planning is helpful, don’t be afraid to let go and see where the road takes you.
