SHAWNEE, Okla. ( KFOR ) — A man is now locked up after police say he pretended to be a teen and sexually assaulted an 11-year-old girl in a skating rink parking lot.
27-year-old Dominic Holland was arrested in Pottawatomie County back in May after police said he allegedly sexual assaulted an 11-year-old girl outside of Star Skate in Shawnee in April.
“When you have a predator like that that’s running around, especially as a as a deputy, I want to make sure that those people we you know, we locate them,” said Sargent Richard Finch with Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office.
Court documents reveal that Holland was a regular at Star Skate, visiting almost every Friday and Saturday night, at one point he had even applied for a job.
“There were some sexual acts that took place,” said Holland.
Court documents detail a sexual encounter caught on camera between the 11-year-old and Holland in the Star Skate parking lot.
“He didn’t like full on admit to anything,” said Finch.
The girl told investigators that Holland told her he was 15.
When police posted about Holland online, other victims came forward.
“There’s a total of four,” said Finch.
Investigators say Holland also frequently visited several other local skating rinks.
“He visited skating rinks in the Norman area, Moore, Muskogee, obviously Shawnee, the Choctaw area,” said Finch.
“It’s probably going to be easier for him to, you know, to target a victim there,” said Finch.
Investigators are now worried other victims are out there.
“We want to encourage them to come forward, if they’re scared, if they’re ashamed, then we want to encourage them not to be,” said Finch.
