Russell’s First Alert Forecast: Rainy Week Continues
Hello, Eastern NC! This week, our weather story is all about rain, rain, and more rain. With a surface trough parked to our west and a weak low-pressure system along the coast, scattered thunderstorms are the order of the day. Even as we move into Tuesday afternoon, the rain doesn’t let up entirely, but the storm activity will be less widespread. Air temperatures will mostly remain into the mid-to-upper 80s, with overnight temperatures in 70s, close to 80 along the coast.
Music and Muscle Cars Aplenty at Kam’s Logging Supplies Cruise-In
YOUNGSVILLE, Pa. – Hundreds gathered in downtown Youngsville over the weekend for the 3rd annual Kam’s Logging Supplies Cruise-In. The 2-day event drew more than two dozen cars, multiple vendors and food trucks, and a pair of musical acts to West Main Street. Erie-based band Crush took the stage on Friday, while local group Echoes on Water rocked the street on Saturday.

Report: Steelers bring in ex-Cowboys, Broncos QB Ben DiNucci for workout
After the Pittsburgh Steelers lost John Rhys Plumlee to the UFL draft last week, they suddenly have a spot to fill. According to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson, it could be with University of Pittsburgh’s Ben DiNucci, who was recently part of the Denver Broncos. DiNucci hasn’t taken a snap since 2020, when he appeared in three games in relief of Dallas Cowboys’ Dak Prescott. His only start resulted in a 23-9 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Overall, DiNucci went 23-for-43 on 219 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions. He was sacked seven times and fumbled four times with two losses.
