The feud between Taylor Swift and Kanye West is one of the most well known celebrity feuds out there, spanning across multiple years. First, Kanye interrupted Taylor’s VMA speech in 2009 claiming Beyoncé should’ve won instead, and then in 2016, he released his song “Famous,” which included unkind lyrics about the pop star along with a crude music video. This prompted the “Cruel Summer” singer to go into hiding, emerging a year later with her album Reputation.

Most recently, Taylor Swift let the world know that she may forgive, but she doesn’t forget, name dropping Kim Kardashian in her TIME Person of the Year interview, calling her out for releasing an edited video of the conversation where Kanye claimed Taylor gave him permission to use the rude lyrics. It seems that now we’re getting a response from Kanye in the form of a new song, in which he again uses Taylor’s name, and this time, brings her boyfriend into it. Keep reading for more information.

Kanye West Name Drops Taylor Swift... Again

On August 3rd, Kanye West dropped his new album, Vultures 2, and the song "Lifestyle (Demo)" caught the attention of Swifties everywhere. The line that raised eyebrows from the pop star's fans reads, "I twist my Taylor spliffs tight at the end like Travis Kelce."

"Taylor" refers the "Shake It Off" singer, while "tight at the end" refers to her boyfriend's position on the Kansas City Chiefs. Many fans thought that he might've learned the first time around that messing with Taylor Swift doesn't bode well for any celebrity.

Kanye West & Taylor Swift's Original Feud

Fortunately, this call out from Kanye is nowhere near as bad as the first time he mentioned her in his song. In his 2016 song "Famous," he rapped. "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that b*tch famous / I made that b*tch famous."

As if that wasn't bad enough, he released a music video to go along with it, which showed a wax figure of Taylor Swift naked in a bed next to Kanye West. What's worse is that he and the rest of the Kardashian clan then accused Taylor of approving the lyrics after she expressed outrage, in the form of an edited video of their phone conversation.

    Swifties Slam Kanye West Online

As they have numerous times before, Swifties, went rampant on social media, dragging Kanye West for another unsolicited name drop. "Anything to try and stay relevant," one Swiftie commented on an Instagram post about the story.

"Kanye just wants to ride on Taylor's coat tail to find relevance now," another person commented. "Poor guy."

"Someone doesn't move on," another added.

"He's obsessed at this point!" one person commented.

Others commented numerous snake emojis, not unlike when Taylor Swift called out Kim Kardashian for releasing an edited video of their conversation about the first scandal. It's safe to say the Swifties will always have their pop star's back.
