Burger King Customer Charged An Extra $3 At Checkout

User Simply827 took to Reddit to share their experience at Burger King, writing, "I’m at a Burger King on the NJ Turnpike and it appears they have some sort of dynamic pricing in place." In the photo attached to the post, it shows that the poster's original price was $33.89, and their new total is $34.18, with the only explanation being "Pricing can change for a variety of reasons."

But this wasn't the only gripe @Simply827 had. "They also wanted an additional $3 to add bacon to a burger! Yet adding bacon AND cheese, was half that price." Now that doesn't quite make sense..,

However, many customers are having trouble seeing how this relates to fast food! One TikToker, @Jerenewc, made a video about the surge pricing, saying, "Their cost of good is not surging. Customers Slam Burger King: 'I'm Done With Fast Food'

Customers are in full agreement with social media users @Simply827 and @Jerenewc, writing their thoughts in the comment section of @Simply827's Reddit post. "Is this a joke?" one person asked. "It's happened to me before when buying plane tickets, but at Burger King? Have we gone crazy?"

"We went from 'would you like to pac 75c more to super size your meal?' to 'would you like to pay 75c more or you won't receive your meal?'" another pointed out.

"Must be surge pricing," another said. "I'm done with fast food. They forgot their place."

"I would cancel and leave," one user wrote.

"That's an entree and an alcoholic beverage at a sit down restaurant!" another user pointed out.

"Cancel," urged one person. "This is the only way to beat this. Cancel the order, never go back."

"Cancel every time or this will be the new norm for the rest of our lives," a final persona agreed.
