Bindi Irwin’s Daughter Grace Embraces the ‘Magic’ of the Australia Zoo in a Stunning New Picture

Seeing the world through your kid’s eyes is incredible. My 2-year-old laughs hysterically when he sees roly-poly bugs curl into a ball, and my 5-year-old is awestruck every time the moon is out in daytime. Seeing their pure joy reminds me of how beautiful life can be! No one understands this more than the Irwin family. The late Steve Irwin introduced a generation to the preciousness of wildlife conservation, and his daughter Bindi Irwin is carrying on his legacy at the Australia Zoo. But as a mom of a 3-year-old, Bindi is also enjoying living life through her daughter Grace Warrior’s eyes.

The Animal Planet star shared a new photo enjoying the “magic” of the zoo with her toddler, who she shares with husband Chandler Powell, and it is simply amazing. “My. Heart. 🥹💕🐨 The magic of #AustraliaZoo ,” Bindi captioned the sweet photo on Instagram .

In it, Grace is her mom’s mini-me in matching khaki uniforms. Grace’s curly brown hair is tied half back in a ponytail as she reaches up to pat a koala in the tree overhead. The sweet animal turned its whole face to look at Grace, clearly just as enthralled by her as she was. Bindi has a protective hand on her daughter’s back and smiles up at the koala bear, clearly enjoying seeing him through the eyes of her little girl. It’s truly such a cute moment caught on camera!

Bindi’s mom Terri Irwin praised her granddaughter in the comments. “Grace is so kind and loving towards every living creature,” she wrote. Just like her family!

“You and Robert [Irwin] had the best childhood … now Grace is going to have the best childhood 🤍,” another wrote. “Oh this is so incredibly special ❤️🐨” someone else said.

When she isn’t busy hanging out with zoo animals, Grace enjoys exploring the world with her family. Earlier this month, Powell shared several pictures of an adventurous Grace enjoying Singapore with her paternal grandparents. “Grace’s fourth country!! 🎉” he captioned the post . “My parents met us in Singapore and we spent a week exploring this incredible part of the world. Grace was in her element. Very thankful for this time together.”

In an interview with SheKnows in May, the Crikey! It’s the Irwins star revealed that Grace will spout out animal facts with her family all the time. “So her new thing is facts. So, she’ll say something like, ‘Koalas eat eucalyptus. That’s a fact,’” Bindi says, while doing a finger motion like Grace does to emphasize the fact. “And it’s so cute, ‘cause it’s like, you know what? You can’t teach that. That is just who she is.”

Bindi added, “She is definitely the ruler of our universe. She is so wonderful because she’s such a kind and beautiful soul, while also having so much strength within her. She runs the zoo.”
