Gabrielle Union’s Daughter Kaavia Cannonballs, Cartwheels, & Poses Like a Model in the Cutest New Video

The 2024 Paris Olympics are almost over, but the excitement of cheering for the USA Teams in gymnastics, swimming, and basketball isn’t going away anytime soon in the Union-Wade household. In fact, Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade’s 5-year-old daughter Kaavia James just mastered some fabulous moves in the pool, and the adorable video is full of joy.

“us floating through summer ☀️” a video posted to Kaavia’s Instagram account (run by her parents) was captioned. The Bring It On alum commented, “🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰” The video shows how summer is going for Kaavia and her little friends, which obviously involves swimming.

Kaavia (aka Shady Baby) and her friend float on an oversized floatie, with Kaavia posing on her stomach with her feet pointed and kicked back and her head resting on her hands. She’s a model, honey! Later, two of Kaavia’s friends run and jump over a floatie into the pool. At Kaavia’s turn, she runs up to the ledge and then abruptly stops. “No wait!” she calls, then runs back to start over. Hey, even Olympians mess up sometimes, it’s OK.

The second time, she nails it — jumping over the float and cannonballing into the water. She celebrates by doing cartwheels on the grass. This girl is something else!

“They are having a TIMEEEEEEEE😍😍😍😍😍😍” one person commented. Another wrote, “To be a kid again…..😍😍😍” “The poses from @kaaviajames 🙌🙌❤️❤️❤️❤️ a queen in the making,” someone else wrote.

Kaavia seems to be having a wonderful summer right now. A carousel of snaps posted to Instagram last week was captioned, “just a little candid chaos 💕” The photos show Kaavia riding around a golf cart with her friends, practicing some synchronized swimming in the pool, playing dress-up, and rehydrating with Gatorade.

The cute pictures had everyone thinking she looked like her dad, including one person who commented, “Kaavia looks more like Dwyane Wade than Dwyane Wade does 😂😍”

Another time, she shared beach photos , writing, “Per my last email I’m OOO. Sea you soon! ✌🏾.” There’s truly no one else who knows how to enjoy this time of year like Kaavia does.
