Cher Is Reportedly Ready To Spill the Juicy Details on Her A-List Love Life in Memoir

Cher’s upcoming book, Cher: The Memoir, Part One , won’t be out until Nov. 19, but fans are clamoring for the juicy details she’s reportedly spilling about her love life. The 78-year-old singer has so much to say that the memoir will be released in two volumes, so you know it’s going to be a must-read celebrity book.

Cher has dated plenty of famous men, but she’s never really dished too much on those bold-faced names. But it sounds like she’s ready to! “Cher’s on good terms with a lot of her exes and she does want to keep this memoir classy so she’s not going to tear anyone down, but she’s also not going to sugarcoat the truth,” an In Touch Weekly source claimed. She wants to give her fans “the good, the bad, and the ugly” about her romances with stars like Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer.

She dated Kilmer first in the 1980s after meeting each other at her birthday party thrown by a friend. There was a 14-year-age gap, so it certainly raised eyebrows. “We called ourselves Sid and Ethel,” she told People in 2021. “Val didn’t want to yell ‘Cher, and I didn’t want to yell ‘Val.’ We also called ourselves Valus Maximus and Cherus Reprimandus. It was just kind of who I was in the household. Of course, he was Maximus, come on.” While their adorable relationship didn’t last, their bonded friendship carried him through his throat cancer battle.

Just a few years later, Cher found herself at Madonna’s 1985 wedding to Sean Penn and that’s where she met Kilmer’s Top Gun co-star Cruise. While their love didn’t spark there, it was a White House event for dyslexia that brought them together. She told Oprah Winfrey, via CBS News , in 2008, “He was so wonderful. And I was so crazy about him ,” she said. “And he was so, like, different. He was a shy boy. He didn’t have any money.” Cruise and Kilmer won’t have to worry about any negative stories, but the Mission Impossible star does like his privacy.

“People that treated her well, like Val Kilmer and Tom Cruise, aren’t going to get slammed, but that doesn’t mean they’re going to be happy to be written about,” the In Touch Weekly insider added. “Tom especially is known to hate it when people bring up private details about his past. The word is he’s dreading this book and isn’t going to enjoy having their intimacy discussed for millions of readers to dissect.”

Cruise’s reported discomfort probably won’t stop Cher, and that’s what we love about her!
