Olivia Munn Unwillingly Gets Dragged Back Into Aaron Rodgers' Family Feud

Olivia Munn dated NFL star Aaron Rodgers from 2014 until 2017, but their relationship was anything but easy. The then-Green Bay Packers quarterback was embroiled in a family feud that somehow she got the blame for. It turns out that Aaron’s rift with his parents, Edward and Darla Rodgers, and his brothers Jordan and Luke Rodgers, went years beyond Munn’s romance with him.

Now, a new book, Out of the Darkness: The Mystery of Aaron Rodgers by Ian O’Connor, is finally addressing Munn’s connection to Aaron’s family estrangement. The book, out Aug. 20, has Aaron finally clearing the 44-year-old actress’ name. The 40-year-old athlete told O’Connor, per People, that she had “nothing to do with” the “deep-rooted” rift. However, there is apparently some belief in the rest of the Rodgers family that she was the “primary cause.”

A Munn insider noted to the media outlet that The Newsroom star has moved on. “It’s been almost a decade of these ridiculous rumors, and I know she really appreciates Aaron finally shutting it down,” they said. “The Rodgers family has a lot going on, and she hopes they find some peace.” The feud even became a hot topic on the 12 season of The Bachelorette because star JoJo Fletcher got engaged, and later married, Aaron’s younger, Jordan. The mysterious estrangement became everyone’s business.

According to Munn’s 2018 appearance on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live , per Page Six , Aaron hadn’t spoken to his family for “eight months” before they even began dating. “I do believe that family and fame and success can be really complicated if their dreams are connected to your success,” Munn said. “There’s a lot of complications. I don’t think either side of the road is clean, but I do think it’s not OK if you try to stand on someone’s shoulders then throw dirt in their face, that’s what I think.”

Hopefully, football fans will finally let Munn off the hook, especially since it’s been seven years since she broke up with Aaron. She’s now married to comedian John Mulaney and they share a son, Malcolm, 2, and she doesn’t want to get dragged into the Rodgers family’s mess anymore.
